New Designer Playlist up on my Channel!!

Hey Friend’s!!
I’m so excited and nervous but so honored and proud, that my first pattern tutorial is up on my youTube channel!! My good crochet friend/designer asked me to help make tutorials for her patterns and after figuring out the technology side it is officially up!! Her name is Kim Shaw with her shop called Little Red’s Handmade Creation’s on Raverly. Her pattern is called the 64th Anniversary Beanie Hat.

The pattern was tested over summer by a few lucky ladies and myself. In the pattern she included some follow along pictures for a reference. As long as you know the basic stitches your golden to try it out and it is free!
If your like me when I started out I loved video tutorials, but it was a struggle finding good ones. On my channel you will find good quality patterns that have been tested prior along with extra support that won’t leave you stuck if you let me know that you are stuck. I’m very excited to give back by teaching and also helping designer’s get their free patterns out so you all can enjoy it too!!

Welcome to Blog Tuesday!!

Hey Crochet Family!
Today I’m introducing my line for the crochet hooks and stitch marker set. I’m really excited about doing this and always takes a lot of practice. I’m currently getting my website up on squarespace and will be shooting pictures i make this week and hopefully have a line ready to sell by next week!! Any idea of a name for my hooks and stitch markers? Trying to think of something cute and catchy. My crochet fox is named Autumn. I’m stumped right here and could use some good ideas.hat really sticks to me and you suggested it, you will receive a set from me! If there is a name t I’m currently making animal pattern hooks and stitch marker sets!! If you have something special in mind please let me know!! Here is one set i just finished the other day. Hasn’t been baked or anything yet. I always paint on details after it is baked and cooled. It takes me about a week or so to get a good batch made. Being a crafter, I’m super picky about my work because I want to give people the best results and something they are proud to show off!! This is my cow set right here that not finished. 20799112_1644840935633249_7287151399339195193_n

Here is her awesome Bio for our blog interview!!
What is your name?
Arica Presinal
How long have you been crocheting?
For as long as I can remember.
How did you learn to crochet?
Honestly, I cannot recall. I remember being about 7 or 8, sitting in my closet and crocheting outfits for my Barbies. According to a family member, once while at the store as a child, my mother allowed us to pick one toy, I picked a crochet hook – I assume somewhere along the way I acquired yarn and just sort of taught myself somehow. No one else in my family crochets or knits.
What is(are) your favorite thing(s) to crochet?
Hands down, garments. Tops, outerwear, shorts, skirts…. love it all.
How much time do you spend crocheting in an average week?
Not enough fingers or toes. I take my project bag EVERYWHERE, even church! :/
What was the most challenging crochet technique to learn?
Starting chain double crochet (in place of the ch-3 one normally makes at the start of the row) – you just have to really think about the steps and how you yarn over.
What do you find most rewarding about crocheting?
The final result and seeing others reproduce something I thought up.
What would you really like to crochet that you have not yet made?
Probably a wedding dress or fancy cocktail dress – something super elegant.
Do you crochet for Family, Friends, Business, a combination, or other?
Business and self.
If you have a business what is the name of your Crochet Business?
Skeinsnsticks Designs
Do you sell finished work, patterns or both?
I sell both finished work and patterns.
What type of items do you sell in your shop?
